"Israel My Beloved" is one of my all-time favorite books. It's on the reading list for our trip to Israel. I'm reading it again!
It's kind of funny but when I first tried to read it, it was boring, I didn't "get it". It was allegory and it flew right over my head. But then I did a study on Genesis and Covenant. With an understanding of God's choosing of a people to be His own, and the Covenant relationship He has with them...Suddenly the story was profound and beautiful! It was the love story between God and His beloved, Israel.
